In case you didn’t know; teens are infamous for having disorganized and cluttered rooms. We get it, we were all teenagers once and the last thing on our mind was cleaning our rooms. Teenagers are more worried about their friends and social media. Being parents, we get tired of telling our kids over and over again to clean their room. We already know what they’re going to say, “this is how I like my room,” or “I’ll get to it later” and yet, they never do.
Here are 3 cleaning hacks for teens
- Learning To Develop Motivation: The number 1 factor when it comes to a teenager not wanting to clean their room is motivation. Most teenagers just lack the motivation to clean their room, but when it comes to anything else; they’ll be all over it. Most motivation comes from a lack of direction and meaning in life. Take some time to yourself and develop and work on these traits. It will benefit you in the long run.
- Sell Things You Don’t Use For Money: Take a look around your room, and take a look at your clothes or products that might just be lying around. Now ask yourself “When was the last time I used or wore that?” If you haven’t worn some clothing in over a year or use that product in 4 months, consider selling these on Platocloset or on Letgo
- Store Things: These days, when we hear ‘store things’ we usually thing about storing things in the cloud. Although, we aren’t talking about that cloud storage; the concept is very similar. Take some time out of your weekend or day off, buy some storage bins and store anything you don’t use or anything that’s not in season in the bins. Other ways to store things are using closet organizers, shoe racks, and closet shelves can do absolute wonders for a messy teenagers room. A great thing about storage products and organizers, is that they are very customizable. From colors, to patterns; there’s one for your teenager!
