If there's one thing we love at Long Island Maids, it's hearing that we've made someone's life a little easier.

We're honored when families tell us our help has made their day-to-day lives simpler, their homes more peaceful. When we know we've lessened the stress of a family moving in or out of their house. When after a tough season, we can shoulder the burden of keeping someone's home clean so they can focus on what matters most.

On good days, those stories make us smile. On challenging days, they remind us why we do this work. We're truly making a positive impact on the lives of Long Island families, and that's what really matters.

If you're new to Long Island Maids, it's easy to assume we've always been a cleaning company with 20+ team members serving hundreds of families each week. But our story actually begins in a very different place: the tech world.

Shannon, our founder, graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science degree, having also studied psychology and computer science. After college, he worked throughout the Hamptons and spent several years in tech. But something kept nagging at him: Long Island families were consistently frustrated with cleaning services that didn't show up, sent different people every time, or simply didn't care. He saw a real need, and in 2013, he left the tech world to start Long Island Maids.

That early Hamptons experience paid off. Today, the Hamptons has become one of our busiest areas during the summer months. We handle estate cleanings, seasonal openings and closings, and vacation home turnovers for families across Southampton, East Hampton, and beyond.

The first few years were marked by the challenges every new business faces. Finding customers. Building a team. The stress that comes with trying something new. But slowly and steadily, Long Island Maids began to grow and reach more families across Nassau and Suffolk County.

With growth came innovations in how we hire, train, schedule, and serve our customers. These improvements helped set us apart as a truly unique, quality house cleaning service on Long Island. Yet through all the growth, we never lost sight of what really matters: creating clean, healthy, and enjoyable spaces where families can relax and unwind.

From our first day until now, that has remained our purpose. To give Long Island families the chance to take a deep breath, relax a little faster, and know that we've handled at least one major chore for them. This dedication to adding peace to our customers' lives has been recognized with numerous awards over the years.
