How It Started
Why I Started Long Island Maids
Before Long Island Maids, I experienced the cleaning industry as a customer. And honestly? It was broken.
You'd call for a quote and wait around all day for someone who never showed. You couldn't book online. You couldn't see pricing upfront. Every interaction felt like a guessing game designed to waste your time.
I knew there had to be a better way.
In 2013, I built Long Island Maids around online booking and transparent pricing — no waiting around, no surprises. I combined what I knew about technology with what I understood about what customers actually want: reliability, transparency, and a cleaning team you can trust.
More than 13 years later, that's still who we are. We're not a franchise. We're not a faceless app. We're a real Long Island company, built by someone who grew up here and still lives here.
