Deep cleaning is intensive work. Your cleaner will be addressing buildup, detailed areas, and surfaces that do not get attention during regular maintenance. The more accessible these areas are, the more thorough the clean.
Preparation is not about pre-cleaning your home — that is our job. It is about clearing the way so we can do our best work.
What to Do Before We Arrive
These simple steps help us get started efficiently:
- Clear countertops and surfaces — Put away small appliances, dishes, and personal items so we can clean the actual surfaces.
- Pick up floors — Toys, shoes, clothes, and clutter on the floor slow us down and limit what we can reach.
- Secure valuables and personal items — Put away jewelry, important documents, and anything fragile or irreplaceable.
- Make a note of priority areas — If the kitchen needs extra attention or there is a room we should skip, let us know ahead of time.
- Ensure we have access — Confirm entry instructions, alarm codes, and parking if needed.
What Not to Do
We see this often, and it is completely understandable — but these things are not necessary:
You do not need to pre-clean.
Seriously. The whole point of hiring a professional deep clean is to save you time. Do not spend your weekend scrubbing before we arrive — that is what you are hiring us for.
Other things you can skip:
- — Moving heavy furniture (we will work around it or move what we can safely)
- — Emptying every cabinet (unless you want the insides cleaned)
- — Providing cleaning supplies (we bring everything we need)
Communicating Special Requests
Every home is different. If there is something specific you need, let us know when you book or leave a note:

The Day of Your Deep Clean
On the day of your appointment, your cleaner will arrive during your scheduled window, introduce themselves, and confirm any priorities you mentioned. From there, we handle everything.
You do not need to be home. Many customers provide a key, lockbox code, or smart lock access. We will secure your home when we finish and send you a completion message.
If you are home, we are happy to do a quick walkthrough when we finish so you can see the results.
