Your Pets Are Family. We Get It.

You love your pets. You also know they come with fur, dander, and the occasional accident. Maybe guests have mentioned "that smell," or you've just become nose-blind to it yourself. Either way, regular cleaning doesn't quite cut it anymore.

Our pet-focused cleaning goes beyond standard service. We use specialized HEPA vacuums designed to capture pet hair and dander, enzyme-based products that break down odor-causing compounds at the molecular level, and commercial air scrubbers with carbon filters to purify the air throughout your home.

No judgment. Just results. We're pet people too.

Why Cat Urine Is So Difficult

Understanding the science helps set realistic expectations

The Chemistry Problem

Cat urine contains uric acid crystals that bond to surfaces and re-release odor when exposed to humidity. Unlike dog urine, these crystals are nearly impossible to fully dissolve. The odor can remain dormant for years and return when moisture is present.

What This Means

  • Surface cleaning can help, but may not eliminate the source
  • Odor in carpet padding or subfloor requires removal of materials
  • Multiple enzyme treatments may improve but not fully resolve
  • Severe cases require professional remediation beyond cleaning

For Severe Odor: Pre-Cleaning Checklist

If your home has significant pet odor, we recommend addressing these items first

For heavily affected homes, surface cleaning alone may not solve the problem. Odors penetrate porous materials that hold smells even after professional treatment. For best results, consider removing or replacing these items before scheduling intensive odor treatment:

Carpets & rugs — Padding absorbs urine and holds odor permanently

Curtains & drapes — Fabric traps odor particles from the air

Upholstered furniture — Foam and fabric hold odors deeply

Pet beds & blankets — Often the main source of concentrated odor

Fabric lampshades — Often overlooked but absorb odor

Cloth-covered items — Anything porous that can't be washed

Important Information

No Guarantee of Complete Odor Removal

We cannot guarantee that all pet odors will be eliminated. Results depend on the severity of contamination, how long odors have been present, and what materials are affected. We'll be honest with you about what's realistic for your situation.

Subfloor Contamination

If pet urine has soaked through flooring into the subfloor, professional remediation is required. This involves removing flooring, sealing or replacing subfloor materials—work that is beyond the scope of cleaning services. We can treat surface odors, but cannot address subfloor contamination.

Satisfaction Guarantee Exception

Due to the unpredictable nature of pet odor treatment, our standard 100% satisfaction guarantee does not apply to this specialty service. We will do our best work with professional equipment and products, but cannot guarantee specific results.

Multiple Treatments May Be Required

Significant odor issues often require multiple treatments over time. Enzymes need time to work, and some odors require repeated application. We'll discuss a treatment plan and realistic timeline during your consultation.

What Pet Owners Say

Real Reviews from Long Island

Questions & Answers

Pet Cleaning FAQs

Will this service eliminate all pet odors?
Honestly, it depends on the severity. Many pet odor situations can be significantly improved—sometimes dramatically. However, we cannot guarantee complete elimination, especially with cat urine that has soaked into porous materials or subfloors. We'll give you an honest assessment of what's realistic for your situation.
How long does the enzyme treatment take to work?
Enzyme cleaners need time to break down odor-causing compounds. You may notice improvement within 24-48 hours, but full results can take up to a week as the enzymes continue working. For severe odors, multiple treatments spaced a week or two apart often produce the best results.
Do I need to keep my pets out of the house during treatment?
It's best if pets are out of the treatment areas while we work, primarily so we can access all spaces and the enzyme products can dry undisturbed. Once surfaces are dry (usually 2-4 hours), pets can return. The products we use are pet-safe once dried.
What's the difference between this and regular cleaning?
Regular cleaning uses standard vacuums and general cleaners that may mask odors temporarily but don't address the source. Pet cleaning uses HEPA vacuums that capture microscopic dander, enzyme products that chemically break down odor compounds, and air scrubbers that filter airborne particles. It's a fundamentally different approach.
Why doesn't your satisfaction guarantee apply?
Pet odor removal has too many variables outside our control—the age and severity of contamination, what materials are affected, whether odor has reached subfloors. We'll do our best professional work, but guaranteeing specific results wouldn't be honest. We'd rather be upfront about limitations than make promises we can't keep.
Should I remove carpets before booking this service?
For severe cat urine issues, often yes. If urine has soaked through carpet into the padding, no amount of surface treatment will fully eliminate the odor. In these cases, removing the carpet and padding first allows us to treat the actual source. We can assess your situation and advise whether this step is necessary.
Can you help with pet allergies?
Our HEPA vacuuming and air scrubbing can significantly reduce pet dander, which is the primary allergen trigger. Regular pet maintenance cleaning can help allergy sufferers living with pets. However, this is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.
How often should I schedule pet cleaning?
For ongoing maintenance, most pet owners benefit from monthly or bi-monthly pet-focused cleaning, depending on the number and type of pets. For odor treatment, we typically recommend an initial intensive cleaning followed by assessment of whether additional treatments are needed.
